First blog, say what?

You know that feeling when you walk into class, and you know nobody?

Yeah, well, times that by four classes.

And the embarrassment of the teacher calling on you for an answer you don't know.

That's pretty much how I've felt this week! It's my first week at Eastern Oregon University, and I've got a shitload to figure out. I'm in love with this place, which I was totally not expecting. My life has become wonderful. Who would have thought, right? I'm in the middle of frickin nowhere, and my life has taken a turn for the better. My life has become a series of long days and ridiculous adventures, with great friends mixed in between.

I can't wait for the moment when I can leave, though. I'm always looking for the next best thing, and so far, it seems to be screaming my name from overseas. I'm working towards a semester in Spain, where I can submerse myself in a culture that is so fascinating and wonderful to me. I want to meet people, speak a new language, learn things that are so completely and literally foreign to me. I want my life to be changed.

Hey, this is only the introduction to my blog - when I think of something more creative and awesome, I'm sitting down and typing a novel. K, deal.
